Meet the Team

With a background in the IT sector, Tom joined Bidding’s parent company Thornton & Lowe in 2017. There, he proved himself as both an excellent Bid Writer and Project Manager across a wide range of sectors, before progressing to Senior Bid Writer, then Head of Bids. In October 2025, Tom was promoted from Operations Director to Managing Director.

With over 15 years of experience in bid management and a member of APMP, Ciara brings experience in securing bids across many industries including construction, tech recruitment, RPO recruitment, healthcare, building maintenance and fire safety.

Based on her experience, Ciara also contributes to bid strategy, helping to ensure that win themes run through every document across the submission as “golden threads”.

As Head of Bids, she prioritises collaboration, quality, compliance and clearly addressing the buyer’s needs. Driven by a commitment to excellence in bid management, she champions continuous improvement in bid processes, while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

Outside of work Ciara enjoys being outdoors in the Scottish countryside with her family and dog. She is an avid reader, loves music and a nice rum.

Sophie started her career selling into the private sector before making the switch to bidding. Joining us as a Bid Writer before progressing to become a Bid Manager, then Senior Bid Manager she’s amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience which is why she now helps run things behind the scenes at Bidding. You may never come into direct contact with Sophie, but she’s involved with everything backstage, from recruitment to managing our associate network, which is why she’s such a valuable member of the team. Sophie’s currently on maternity leave with the newest member of the Young clan.

Josh leads the way on complex and strategic healthcare bids, drawing on years of experience to guide projects from start to finish. Whether he’s shaping winning strategies or fine-tuning the final submission, he ensures every bid is clear, compelling, and high quality.

Since joining HealthBid in 2019 as a Bid Writer, Josh has grown with the business, progressing to Bid Director over six years. Along the way, he’s supported countless successful bids and now plays a key role in mentoring Bid Managers, providing writing expertise and quality assurance.

Samantha is a senior bid and business development professional with over 25 years’ experience delivering winning bids across the public and private sectors. With a strong background in sales leadership, she brings a distinct commercial edge to bid strategy, combining persuasive, client-focused messaging with a clear understanding of what drives buying decisions.

She leads complex bids end-to-end, shaping win strategies, managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering high-quality, compliant submissions under pressure. Known for her structured approach and calm leadership style, Samantha is also a trusted mentor, supporting bid professionals to perform at their best while maintaining consistently high standards.

Outside work, Samantha is a busy netball mum and enthusiastic supporter from the sidelines!

Faye joined Bidding as a Bid Writer under the HealthBid branch back in June 2023, after completing her MA in English Literature. As a result, she has a strong background in producing high quality bids across the healthcare sector for public sector contracts. She also has experience writing and managing bids across a variety of sectors, ranging from construction to social research. In her spare time, Faye enjoys reading, writing (that isn’t for bids), visiting historical places, and spending time with her dog Betty.

Ankita joined Bidding in September 2024 as a Bid Manager and brings over five years of professional experience. She completed her MBA in 2019 in India, and prior to entering the world of bid management, she worked in Business Development and as a Bid Analyst.

In her bid career, Ankita has supported private and public sector contracts across healthcare, construction, facilities management, and infrastructure, building knowledge across a wide range of industries. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, hiking, going to the gym, and photography.

Having joined Bidding as a Bid Writer in May 2022, under the HealthBid brand, Matt has worked across bids in a range of sectors. During this time, Matt has written and managed bids across healthcare, construction, architecture, facilities management and other areas. With a BA in history, outside of work Matt enjoys visiting historical sites, as well as travelling and watching live music.
